The Timeless Legacy of Hussain Ibn Ali

'Hussain is from me, and I am from Hussain.'
'Allah loves those who love Hussain.'

The extraordinary virtues of Hussain علیه السلام compel believers to ponder what he did and the profound impact he left on the world. Superficially, it becomes clear that there are only two forces: either of truth or of falsehood, either the blessed or the cursed, either the oppressed or the one who stands against the oppressor. But they say this is an archaic historical incident that shouldn't be discussed or pondered upon. Who are they? They are those who fear that if their intoxicated crowd comes to know about the mighty figure of Hussain علیه السلام who was not martyred just to be remembered and commemorated but left something eternal behind him, then either their throne will fall or they will imitate Karbala. That's why we see Yazids giving justifications for being Yazid.

It is understandable that his grandfather said, 'Hussain is from me,' but how is it that his grandfather is from him? There is not an ounce of doubt that Hussain علیه السلام is the flag bearer of his grandfather's purpose. Nonetheless, one will always know what the indicators are of being Hussain علیه السلام and what the indicators are of being Yazid. These two personalities have immortalized the use of truth and falsehood synonymously. We will always find a tight rope pulling on both ends about this. But does this establish balance and justice, or will they break the rope and fall into the abyss exposed at both ends?"
